Amanda Hoskin 'Flora and Fauna': 4th June - 17th June

Amanda Hoskin will be back with her first collection of the year. This collection is inspired by the natural beauty of the Carrick Roads, a place shaped over thousands of years and deeply rooted in the Amanda's own history. Having spent many years sailing between Falmouth, St Mawes, Mylor, and Restronguet, this body of work marks a return to familiar waters. Both personal and creative. 

Drawn back by memory and inspiration, Amanda explores this extraordinary estuary through colour, shifting skies and the rich flora and fauna that define its landscape.

“I wanted to return and explore this area partly because it means so much to me, but also because it serves to inspire and motivate me to paint. By returning to the same viewpoints, my work becomes a process of observation and remembering, helping me to convey my deep connection to Falmouth and the surrounding area. I have focused on the importance of the changing colours, the ever-shifting skies, and the beauty of the flowers and fauna of this extraordinary estuary shaped over thousands of years.”— Amanda Hoskin
