Collection: Hazel Ashe 2026 Solo Show: 'No Two Waves'

Hazel Ashe’s new collection brings together 24 thoughtfully composed oil paintings in varying scales, each capturing the shifting light and movement of the sea while forming a deeply cohesive body of work. Inspired by the beauty of the Cornish winter and the first signs of spring, the paintings draw from moments of vivid sunrise and fading dusk. Through interaction of colour and tone, Hazel explores what she describes as an “emotional connection to place”, finding poetry within familiar landscapes and transforming them into works that feel both intimate and expansive.

Working across changing seasons and times of day, I’m drawn to the ever-shifting coastline, where no two waves are the same.
