Droplet Vase (Tourmaline)

Capturing the fluidity of molten glass as a droplet form.

Using the inherent qualities of liquid glass in this simplest but most beautiful form. A heated bubble of glass, inflated whilst falling under gravity naturally forms this droplet shape. It’s a lovely piece in its own right, but also looks great with some simple blossom or foraged grasses.

Height approx 16cm.

All my glasses are made from free-blown hot glass so sizes and shapes do vary. Your glass might have a small bubble or tool mark, and has a melted ‘pontil’ mark on the base. These are all characteristics of hand made studio glass.
