Collection: Artist Spotlight: Emma Dunbar & Richard Tuff

Two painters who know how to use colour to masterful levels, and with over 60 years of painting experience between them, we are delighted to present this collection of new paintings by Emma Dunbar and Richard Tuff.

Emma Dunbar is a contemporary still life painter and has been represented by Beside The Wave since 1999. Born in England, she graduated in 1984 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Printmaking from West Surrey College of Art and Design. Her practice centres on still life and everyday subject matter, with a focus on colour, pattern and simplified form rather than strict visual accuracy. Drawing inspiration from daily life, seasonal changes and observed colour combinations, her work explores the decorative and expressive potential of familiar objects.

Richard Tuff (b. 1965, Manchester) is a contemporary British painter best known for his evocative depictions of the Cornish landscape. He studied Textile Design at Winchester School of Art, and after an early career in commercial design, Tuff relocated to Cornwall in 1988. Beside The Wave has proudly represented Tuff since 1989. Over the course of his career, he has built a strong following among collectors all over the world. Working across original paintings and drawings, he occupies a recognised place within contemporary British landscape painting, valued for his ability to capture the enduring character and light of Cornwall with clarity, warmth, and restraint.

The exhibition is open from 20th March - 1st April.
