Collection: Andrew Tozer

Andrew Tozer is a contemporary landscape painter based near Falmouth, Cornwall, and has been represented by Beside The Wave since 1999. He studied at Truro School before attending Falmouth School of Art, the University of Westminster and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. After completing his studies in London, he returned to Cornwall, where he continues to live and work.

Tozer works both en plein air and in the studio, focusing on landscape and coastal subjects. His practice centres on direct observation of light and atmosphere, informed by the traditions of Impressionism. His paintings frequently depict harbours, rural settings and scenes drawn from his immediate surroundings.

Known for layered brushwork and a painterly approach, his work emphasises structure, tonal balance and the changing qualities of light. He has exhibited widely, and his paintings are held in private collections in the UK and internationally.
