South African Abalone Pendant

This design has been inspired by the gift of a beautiful African Abalone shell, which is commonly recognised for its mesmerising swirls of blues and purples on the inside, as well as several open pores in a row near the outer edge. Traditionally, the shell would have been used (and still is) to burn ceremonial herbs, incense and smudges.
