"Watercolour and gouache paintings composed from small pieces of watercolour paper, each painted separately.  By constructing the works this way I try to concentrate on the colours and mark making, weaving colours together and looking at the image in a more abstract way.  The result is an interesting commentary about subject and place as well as illustrating the varying mood of the artist while painting." - SARAH WIMPERIS
