Carafe (Straw)

This hand-formed impression of the maker’s touch,  turns the spherical body into an ergonomic shape which has a direct relationship to the human hand.  Making the pouring spout is the final part of the process, using a metal blade to ensure a crisp channel which pours beautifully and gives real character to the overall form. Production is limited to only a handful of pieces a day. 

As they are entirely free-blown, sizes and capacities do vary but will measure somewhere around 20cm high x 12 cm wide and should hold a bottle of wine.
