Collection: Peter Blodau

Peter Blodau is a contemporary painter and reportage artist working across watercolour, pencil and oil. Peter completed a Master’s degree at Arts University Plymouth in 2023, graduating with Distinction. His practice centres on working directly from life, using plein air methods to record place, movement and atmosphere. His research at postgraduate level explored the potential for a participatory approach to reportage drawing. Peter’s work has taken him to cities including Paris and Cairo, and he has exhibited internationally. He has received recognition including selection for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize. Through direct observation and immediate mark-making, his practice documents the world around him in real time.
