Collection: Johnty Robinson

Johnty Robinson is a contemporary oil painter based in Falmouth, Cornwall, and has been represented by Beside The Wave since 2025. Classically trained, he studied at the London Fine Art Studios Atelier, where he later taught, and was awarded two scholarships from the De Lazslo Foundation. In 2025, he received the Winsor & Newton Young Artist Award at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Annual Exhibition. 

Robinson’s practice focuses on still life and landscape, combining traditional atelier training with a contemporary approach. Drawing inspiration from Cornwall’s landscape and everyday objects, his work emphasises close observation, atmosphere and tonal sensitivity, informed by influences ranging from Impressionism to American still life painting.
