Collection: Hazel Ashe

Hazel Ashe is an oil landscape painter born and raised in Cornwall, where her family has lived for over five generations. And has been exclusively represented by Beside the wave since 2025 and has since continued to present new collections of work. Hazel studied Art at Truro College before completing a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC).

Working primarily in oils, her practice focuses on the Cornish coastline, exploring the interaction between sea, sky and rock formations. She regularly sketches on location, particularly in areas such as Kynance, using these studies to inform her studio paintings.  She lives and works in Cornwall and balances her studio practice with family life as a mother of six.
