Collection: Amy Albright

Amy Albright is a contemporary oil painter and has been represented by Beside The Wave Gallery since 2015. Amy grew up in Cornwall and graduated from University College Falmouth with a BA hons in Fine Art in 2007.

Based at Krowji Studios in Redruth and living on the north coast of Cornwall, Her work explores the shifting boundaries between land, water and atmosphere, creating atmospheric paintings that evoke both emotion and place. Albright creates layered oil paintings that combine translucent glazes, gestural marks and subtle tonal shifts to evoke tidal movement and underwater light. Her practice reflects a deep connection to Cornwall’s coastal environment.

Her work has been exhibited widely across the UK and internationally, including in New York and Taipei, where she received the Outstanding Award at the E.Sun Art Prize in 2022. Her paintings feature in collections worldwide.
