My paintings are the intimate consecration of a moment paused; a moment when the shifting light was just right, when the lip of a wave is illuminated, a crashing sunlit breaker meets dark rock, when fleeting, sinuous ribbons of white water curl in perfect rhythm.
Born and raised in Cornwall, I have long been stood on the shoreline, drawn to the duality and drama of opposing forces on the Cornish coast. In my work I seek a reflective stillness of the transient nature and ephemeral beauty of the sea.
