Robert Collins

Robert was born and brought up in rural Gloucestershire where he developed a life-long passion for landscape. Dramatic space, light and atmosphere combined with intimate and delicate details of plants and rocks characterise his landscape paintings.

"The concentration required to make a painting is like a meditation. I slow down to the pace of the landscape and see and hear things I would not normally notice. I find myself in awe at the beauty of the landscape and make paintings that try to communicate something of that wonder."

The spectacular geology and flora of the Penwith coast provide the most dramatic foregrounds which contrast wonderfully with the space, light and atmosphere of the sea
